Salary commensurate dependent on experience and evidence.

MS1 to UPS3 + TLR2.2 (£5,355) 

We are looking to appoint an ambitious, hardworking and talented Curriculum Leader of Design Technology and Food. This role will provide a first-rate opportunity to demonstrate your ability to lead and make a measurable impact on the success of the school and bring an innovative approach to a popular subject.

The successful candidate will display a passion for the subject and be able to foster an enjoyment of Design Technology within their lessons. This is an exciting time to lead a department and take it through the next stage of its journey. You will be a committed, strong and enthusiastic individual who displays outstanding teaching and can ensure that all students make excellent progress. You will display a mix of creativity, innovation, and be able to inspire and motivate students.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high quality teaching and learning and ensuring high standards and achievements.

This is an ideal role for someone with a passion for teaching Design Technology with evidence of enabling students to surpass expectations. Design Technology and Food are popular subjects in school attracting students into Key Stage 4 & 5. Experience in teaching Design Technology/Food to key stages 3-5 with a good curriculum knowledge and understanding of GCSE and A-Level requirements is essential.

Norton Canes High School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary with sixth form in Staffordshire. As of the most recent inspection there were 494 students on the school roll, of which 49 were enrolled in 16-19 study programmes.
