Collecting those results in August is a collective effort involving everyone in the academy, the students and their families and friends.
The David Ross Education Trust is now recruiting for an Exams Assistant who will join our wonderful team based at Malcolm Arnold Academy in Northampton. Becoming part of the MAA family while also having the wealth of support from the central IT & Data Team, we want someone to join us who will be vocal, challenge our thinking and ensure the exams processes and procedures are well run and managed.

You will want to be able to notice everything our students do well and celebrate them, acknowledging with them their achievements using warm language to make them feel excellent and to make them feel seen.We are looking for someone who is passionate and has a clear professional drive to improve the outcomes and life chances of each and every student they work alongside. Someone who can stand proud on each and every results day knowing they have been a critical and fundamental part of hundreds of children’s futures.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, customer focused and can work to a high level of accuracy to contribute to further enhancing the values and culture at our academies. We need someone who knows how to effectively use an MIS or is keen to bring existing skills on becoming the powerhouse of knowledge on the use of MIS in an Academy and wider IT & Data team.
You will work alongside the Central IT & Data Team as well as providing support to an onsite Exams Officer.
This position is full-time and open-ended (37 hours per week, working days Monday – Friday).
However, alternate working patterns such as term-time only working may be considered for the right candidate.

About the Academy
Malcolm Arnold Academy is one of the David Ross Education Trust (DRET) schools. It is a popular and oversubscribed co-educational secondary school based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, for students aged 11-18. It has approximately 1300 pupils on roll, with around 130 of these pupils comprising our sixth form.
Malcolm Arnold Academy is a Good school, with our most recent OFSTED report being in May 2018, citing us as Good in all inspection judgement categories.

The trust, governors and senior leaders know the school well. They are determined that all pupils will make at least good progress. The school’s values of ‘friendship, truth, peace’ underpin the ethos of the school. There is a strong culture of openness, honesty and respect. Pupils make good progress across a range of subjects and all current year groups. The leadership of the school’s work with pupils who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities is strong. Pupils make good progress from their starting points, including pupils in the school’s specialist provision. The school’s work to promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding is a strength of the school and contributes well to pupils’ personal development and good behaviour. The curriculum is regularly reviewed and adapted to meet the needs of pupils.
