An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Academy for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Deputy Attendance Officer. Working under the Attendance Lead, you will be expected to provide a support service to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our learners. Based in our Attendance office, you will provide a specialist support service to help the school in raising achievement by improving school attendance and punctuality and to meet our attendance targets. 

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting learners in a school environment and knowledge of school attendance legislation. You will take ensure registers are marked correctly and on-time, keep our attendance data up to date, as well as having responsibility for establishing the reasons for non-attendance, making assessments and agreeing plans for facilitating a return to school using appropriate strategies within specified timescales. The role also requires the provision of information to the Education Welfare Service (EWS) in relation to our statutory responsibilities, as well as creating reports and submitting data to the DFE and appropriate bodies, to ensure the school is fully compliant at all times.
