Job overview
Ashville College, Harrogate, is looking to appoint a Deputy Cleaning Supervisor to assist the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure the College Buildings are cleaned to a consistently high standard.
The successful candidate will be required to have cleaning / housekeeping experience in the hospitality or education sector and be able to demonstrate they have the skills and aptitude for the role.
The Cleaning Department is responsible for providing an efficient and effective system of cleaning across the College on a daily basis, including the Sport Centre facilities that are used out of school hours.
This is a full time role, working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day including Saturdays. Working pattern to be negotiated, full year.
The salary for this role is £27,892 per annum and additional benefits include free membership of the Ashville Sports Centre, free lunch, and free on-site parking.

Ashville College is a co-educational, independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 2–18. The college, set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, comprises a pre-school, prep school and senior school with pupil numbers totaling around 870, 170 of whom are in the sixth form and 100 are boarders. The school is a registered charity, administered by Ashville College Trustees.
Ashville College was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Church. Expansion over the decades culminated in a merger with Elmfield College, Harrogate, in the 1930s, by which time Ashville was the largest private school in the north of England. The most significant development came in 1982 when the school become co-educational.
