The role

The Corsham School Academy Group is seeking to appoint an experienced teacher of Maths to assist the CTL in inspiring and developing outstanding practice. The team are looking to build on their existing strong foundation by developing Teaching & Learning strategies to raise attainment of students. The specific responsibilities of the post will be negotiated with the successful candidate to match their strengths and continuous professional development needs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across all Key Stages.

At A level, in 2017, good sized cohorts achieved Alps 3 Outstanding gradings in both Mathematics and Further Maths, 90% of student achieving A*-C grade in Mathematics. AS level results were also strong with nearly all students carrying on to full A level in year 13. The new year 12 has increased numbers studying Mathematics and record numbers taking Further Maths. GCSE results were pleasing with 71% of students gaining a 9-4 grade, with results predicted to improve considerably in the coming years.

The Corsham School is part of a small multi academy trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and 2 miles from the National Trust village of Lacock.
