Job overview
This new post has been created to focus on providing consistent, high quality specialist support to learners with SEND on mainstream provision. You will have excellent organisational and leadership skills to share good practice and manage teams across Merton, Carshalton and Kingston Colleges. You will be a successful budget manager and have the skills to effectively analyse and report on significant income and expenditure.
You will also be a qualified teacher with a proven track record as a successful manager in the Learning Support field; and will work alongside the Specialist Services Assessment Manager who manages the specific learning difficulties and speech and language therapy service. You will also have an excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its practical application; and possess the ability to provide highly effective training to both curriculum and support teams.
You will be supported by a team of experienced managers, administrators and a SEND Commissioning Team for high needs support funding.
The post holder will be required to work across all College sites.
