Deputy Head of Secondary - February 2025

Markham College is looking for a Deputy Head of Secondary School to start in February 2025. Candidates must have a relevant degree, hold a teaching qualification and have experience in a leadership role. They should be passionate about student learning and have the drive and commitment to inspire both students and teachers. These professional attributes should be combined with exceptional communication and leadership skills, enabling the new Deputy Head of Secondary to play a prominent role in the school community and be a respected ambassador for Markham College.


The post holder will have shared responsibility for approximately 1000 students from Primary Year 6 - Sixth Form, a large number of local and overseas staff and a significant budget. He/she will report directly to the Head of Secondary and will collaborate in the day-to-day running of the Secondary School Section. Spanish language ability is desirable but not essential.


Established in 1946, Markham College is a bilingual Peruvian international school with a British Heritage. We are a non-profit, co-ed day school for children from 3-18 years of age. Our vision is to empower everyone to be agents of positive change in Peru and beyond. Aligned with our IBDP and IGCSE curriculum in Secondary, we are adopting the PYP curriculum for our Primary students. In Early Years we follow the British National Curriculum. Established in 1946, Markham College is a regional influence in South America  for educational leadership and academic excellence. We are an independent, non-profit, co-educational school that provides bilingual education to children from 3-18 years of age at our Miraflores and Surco campuses in Lima Peru.
