125 years of life-changing work

We believe nothing should stand in the way of a full education, personal development, or physical and emotional wellbeing.

For 125 years, the lives of children and young people with epilepsy, autism and other complex needs and disabilities have been transformed through the specialist care and support provided by St Piers, Young Epilepsy's specialist education offer.

St Piers School and College

St Piers School and College is set within 65 acres of greenbelt land in Surrey on the Kent, West Sussex border. Both the School and the College offer Residential boarding options in 13 well equipped houses.

Our School currently has 74 pupils aged 5-19 and due to the demand of complex SEN places from our 32 local authorities we will be expanding our offer. In 2024 St Piers for the first time will be opening a specialist Infants School which will take the school to a capacity of 97 pupils including our well-established 6th Form.

This exciting new journey is only part of our expanding Vision to support complex SEND pupils in the Southeast of England. We have an ambitious plan that will lead us into 2025 and recognition at a national level.

We are currently recruiting for an outstanding Deputy Headteacher practitioner with the pedagogical underpinning, SEND experience, and the leadership skills to establish a relentless drive.

The School has a high proportion of pupils with epilepsy, autism, severe learning and moderate learning difficulties as well as other complex neurological conditions.

We do not believe any of these conditions or needs should get in the way of children reaching their full potential, achieving personal goals and academic success, leading fulfilled, healthy, and happy lives, and becoming valued members of their community.

Our students have access to a fantastic range of onsite facilities that include a fitness gym, swimming pool, kayaking lake, farm, and horticulture which are the best resources available to nurture the physical, emotional, mental health, personal development, and essential life skills for our pupils.

Closing date: Sunday 7th January 2024
