Job overview

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced teacher with first-class pastoral credentials to play a leading role in a newly restructured pastoral team at St Edward’s Oxford. 

As Deputy Head Welfare, you will lead the efficient running of pastoral support services, ensuring the delivery of excellent care for all pupils, whilst supporting the attainment of the school’s strategic pastoral objectives. You will also standardise, review and update pastoral processes to ensure continuous improvement and to maintain inspection readiness.

You will be able to lead by example, be organised and able to manage others in terms of pastoral leadership and direction. A proven ability to work as a member of a team and to contribute to the wider life of the school is also essential.

St Edward’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful applicant will be required to apply for a DBS disclosure.
