DEPUTY HEADTEACHER
Salary: L21-L26 £72,383 - £81,372
Location: EN2 6LN, Enfield, North London
Start date: September 2022
Would you like to work at a school that has a prestigious past, a wonderful present and a bright future? Would you like to work in a well-established school, proudly rated Good by Ofsted in September 2018? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team, with the determination to drive the school forward to realise our ambition to be a truly outstanding, inclusive school.
We are looking for someone who can lead, challenge and support staff and students to excel in all that they do, whilst helping to establish a culture that is nurturing, inclusive and supportive with a relentless focus on student achievement.
This role represents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious individual to contribute to school improvement, have a major impact on the achievement of students, develop as a senior leader and prepare for headship.
The successful candidate will be an excellent strategic leader with a resilient character, a strong personal drive and a passion for outstanding teaching and learning. You will be able to work collaboratively, be receptive to new ideas, eager to learn and have proven experience of positively improving student progress and raising attainment. In addition, you will be keen to improve your skill set, through CPD training that will motivate and challenge you to develop and strengthen your leadership capacity, confidence and impact.
At Enfield Grammar we offer:
• Strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Access to opportunities for self-development and training to help prepare for headship.
• Regular coaching sessions with an external NPQH/NPQEH coach.
• A health care plan, including reimbursement for optical, dental, physiotherapy and a range of other areas.
• On-site gym facility.
Enfield Grammar School is an 11-18 six form entry boys’ comprehensive school that has improved its Progress 8 score consistently over the past 5 years, resulting in Attainment scores significantly above the national average. We are a school that offers 18 scholarship places in year 7 for sport and music and we are incredibly proud of our musical and sporting prowess. We are a split-site school (5 minute walk), which allows us to have a unique primary school transition for our students, giving our younger boys time to adapt to life at secondary school.
At Enfield Grammar School, our inclusive values drive our vision and ethos. We are passionate about boys’ education and, at Enfield Grammar School, we buck the national trend; with us boys succeed. If you passionately believe the value of equality of opportunities and experience for all, then we want to meet you.
Our aim is to prepare our boys for the world, both academically and socially. We expect hard work, good manners and in turn provide learning opportunities where all can fulfil their potential. Our motto, “Tant Que Je Puis” (As Much As I Can) is at the heart of our school community and we actively encourage both staff and students to strive for this aspiration. If you share our vision, we would strongly encourage you to apply.
