Salary: £50,000.00 - £55,000.00 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday​ 8.00am - 4.00pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About the role

As Deputy, you will promote a relentless focus on the quality of education and delivery of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of pupils and young people. A pupil's place will ensure improvements in behaviour, confidence and self-belief, which can then be transferred into appropriate and accelerated learning inside the classroom and beyond. At their school they offer a flexible, personalised, engaging skills-based curriculum providing both choice and challenge focussed on developing emotional literacy, core subject knowledge and offering a wide range of accredited outcomes.

Working with the senior leadership team you will ensure the school has effective systems in place and the required team capability to continually improve. You will be joining a high achieving company and executive team and will support the Head Teacher creating a compassionate school culture that recognises values, and supports each student's unique mental and emotional journey.

The school are looking to hear from experienced or rising Senior Leaders with experience of inspiring multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outstanding learning for pupils and young people with special education needs.

They are looking for someone who knows how to bring a creative and innovative approach to improving performance and support for their pupils and their families. An excellent communicator, you will act as an ambassador for the school and will have demonstrable experience of working in partnership with parents, commissioners, local authorities and other stakeholders.

About the school

This is an outstanding Primary School for autistic pupils and those associated with Autism/Learning or Complex Communication and Behaviour needs.

They are a small, independent school catering for autistic pupils aged between 4-12 who may have a range of additional needs. They are situated in Salwick, Preston, with the school set within a beautiful country house built in the 1880s, that is set in eight acres of beautiful parkland. Everything they do revolves around the individual needs of each pupil attending their school, with the aim that every learner is able to fulfil their potential.

Their pupils are faced with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), they find that the successful management of these elements plays a crucial role in promoting not just effective learning, but an overall healthier school community.
