The Role
As Deputy Head of School, you will play a vital role in overseeing and developing our educational provision, ensuring that students receive a tailored, high-quality learning experience. You will lead the Education team, which includes the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Onsite Lead, SEN Lead, and Curriculum Coordinator, helping to drive excellence in teaching and learning while maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy – Oversee the education team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high-quality alternative provision.
- Student Experience – Ensure all students receive an engaging, well-structured education that meets their individual needs.
- Safeguarding & Welfare – Work closely with the DSL to ensure students and staff are safe, and safeguarding concerns are handled efficiently.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and professionals, keeping them informed and involved in student progress.
- Monitoring & Development – Track student attendance, progress, and outcomes, implementing interventions where necessary.
- Operational Support – Work alongside the Central Services HR, Finance, and Admissions teams to ensure smooth running of the school.
