Due to promotion within the Trust, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for two senior roles at The Victory Academy, one permanent and one secondment (until September 2025)

We are looking for Deputy Headteachers:

  • One with a strong proven track record in Inclusion
  • One with a strong and proven track record in Curriculum and Academic Standards


At The Victory Academy we offer a strong and supportive senior and middle leadership team.

Deputy Headteacher (Inclusion)

You will develop an inclusive, tolerant and positive culture in our school. You will be a key stakeholder in developing an ethos of high expectations for staff and students as. You will also be leading on ensuring student welfare, personal development, attendance and inclusion is a priority for all staff.

  • You will have an exemplary and proven track record of leading on aspects of school improvement
  • With the Headteacher, you will develop an ethos and culture of high expectations, inclusion, challenge and support that promotes good behaviour, attendance and welfare throughout the school
  • You will take ownership of the school’s inclusion, behaviour, attendance and admissions policies and ensure staff fully understand and implement policy consistently


Deputy Headteacher Curriculum and Academic Standards

You will be our strategic lead for our curriculum, standards and delivery of high-quality academic outcomes across the academy. This includes overseeing timetable, target setting and analysis of our school data.

As an experienced school leader, you will be able to demonstrate the impact you have made within your school. You will continue to drive academic standards and be part of the team that is shaping the future success of our academy.

  • You will design a curriculum that maximises achievement for all learners in the academy, ensuring that curriculum intent and implementation are clear to all stakeholders  
  • As the lead professional you will create the school timetable and ensure efficient allocation of staffing and resource to facilitate this   
  • Lead on assessment and ensure that school attainment and progress data is both valid and reliable, and used by teaching and pastoral staff to inform interventions, and to promote the rapid and sustainable progress of every student.   
  • Uphold the highest standards of student behaviour and conduct across the school and lead and manage the day to day operations of the academy
