Due to the retirement of our current Deputy Headteacher, we are looking to appoint a committed and aspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our inclusive and welcoming school.

Wyborne Primary and Nursery school is an oversubscribed two-form entry school in New Eltham, Royal Greenwich. Our location presents a range of opportunities, being within easy access of central London (20 minutes to London Bridge) as well as on the borders of Kent.
The post’s wide-ranging responsibilities, which cover aspects of teaching and learning, school improvement and developing capacity, will ensure that the role brings both variety and challenge in equal measures.
We work as a team and share a clear understanding of what we are aiming to achieve. We are open to new ideas, and prepared to try new things!
The successful candidate will be expected to be fully committed to the ethos and aims of the school. In return, the we offer a highly supportive environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
The successful candidate will under the direction of the Headteacher, take a major role in:
· Safeguarding pupils and families
· Formulating the aims and objectives of the school
· Establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives
· Managing staff and resources
· Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives
· Leading the School Curriculum and Assessment with Reporting
If the Headteacher is absent, the Deputy Headteacher will deputise.
The Deputy Headteacher will:
· Uphold public trust in school leadership and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour and professional conduct
· Build positive and respectful relationships across the school community
· Serve in the best interests of the school’s stakeholders
