Pastoral
Required for September 2022
L16-20 (£61,166-£67,364)
Bramhall High School is an expanding 11 to 16 comprehensive school. We have a proven track record of high student attainment and academic excellence but not at the expense of the wider aspects of school. Our curriculum is broad and balanced as well as being rigorous and inclusive. We are also very proud of our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment provision as well as our outstanding pastoral and welfare support. This ethos is reflected in our vision which is ‘Every Student, Every Subject, Every Grade’, so that ‘Every Hope, Every Dream, Every Aspiration’ is realised. This reflects our determination for academic success along with our strong belief that we are developing the whole child not just an individual who sits external examinations.
We are seeking an additional Deputy Headteacher to lead on aspects of student welfare and pastoral care. We are looking for a talented and exceptional leader who will take day to day responsibility for providing the highest quality of pastoral care to the students in the school through leadership, education and guidance. You will ensure development of the social and emotional curriculum in conjunction with members of the Senior Leadership Team.
The successful applicant will gain the opportunity to contribute to an exciting working environment where demands and expectations are high, but the rewards are considerable. You will be able to make your own mark on the school, building on our firm foundations to help us to move forward and to enable you to develop your own professional expertise.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school, ensuring all staff work according to our shared values to secure the highest possible standards and outcomes for all students. You will be able to lead staff confidently through coaching, mentoring and development at all levels, build good relationships with families and the local community and develop a collaborative model of practice across the school.
Please apply online – A CV will not be accepted.
The school is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of students and expects staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening including a DBS check.
Closing Date: 8.00am Friday 25 March 2022
Interviews: Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March 2022
Applicants are welcome to arrange a tour of our school by contacting Denise Brennan (Leadership Secretary) on dbrennan@bramhallhigh.stockport.sch.uk or 0161 925 6346.
