Following our recent successful OFSTED (‘Good’ June 2023) and our students’ continued successes with both GCSE and A-Level Examination results we are seeking to recruit a Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education) with the skills, expertise and passion to play a crucial role in supporting Aldersley High School on its next steps of our exciting journey. This is a new role and provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate with a proven track record of driving standards in Teaching & Learning, Curriculum Development or Assessment. Aldersley High School is a vibrant and successful 11-18 comprehensive school with a thriving ever expanding Sixth Form trust wide provision on site.  We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:

·       Harnesses the power of education to change lives.

·       Is research led and regularly engages in recent, up to date education research to enhance Quality of Education provision

·       Can successfully establish a vision for Quality of Education whilst encouraging, motivated and inspiring staff

·       Has the highest of expectations for all students and staff members

·       Encourages, motivates and inspires young people.

·       Is able to work well collaboratively in terms of strategy, planning, preparation and development.

·       Is committed to our vision.

·       Plays a pivotal role in moving the school from good to great.

Aldersley High School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 academy with a sixth form, situated in Codsall in Wolverhampton.

Rated good by Ofsted in 2023, Aldersley High School is a vibrant and innovative school where we promote inspiring all our students to achieve excellence. We are an 11-18 Academy housed in newly refurbished modern accommodation; a bright and stimulating place for students to learn and for staff to work.
