We are looking to recruit two outstanding, committed and energetic Deputy Headteachers to join us in our mission to make learning an adventure where everyone can succeed today and create fulfilling futures tomorrow.
This is an exciting time to join us as we restructure our Leadership Team following the appointment of the new Headteacher. At Heart of England we believe that learning is an exciting adventure filled with endless opportunities. Our new Deputy Headteachers will help create an environment of high expectations for all, with one Deputy taking responsibility for Teaching and Learning and the other for Conduct, Care and Culture (see job descriptions for specific details).

Located in Balsall Common, a village in the West Midlands, Heart of England School is a co-educational secondary academy. The school has around 1300 pupilss, 250 of whom reside in the school sixth form, making it larger than the average secondary school. The vast majority of teaching takes place on-site, but the school does make use of a limited amount of off-site provision for students with certain educational needs. Heart of England School converted to academy status in 2011, but the school is not part of any wider academy group.
