Salary: Leadership Scale L18-L22 (£75,674 - £83,463)
Start Date: April 2025
Barr Beacon School are looking for an experienced Leader with a track record of achieving impact at leadership level. We want a Deputy Headteacher who will use the latest research and their emotional intelligence to take staff with them. We want someone who will not make assumptions but will work closely with the Headteacher to lead the team in rigorously evaluating what is working well and what needs to be improved.
We want someone who can walk into any classroom and diagnose precisely why pupils are learning well, as well as what teachers could be doing to make sure pupils learn even more. We want someone who knows there is no such thing as ‘perfect’ so is therefore constantly refining systems and processes and making sure everyone follows them. Experience of leading Sixth Form to achieve outstanding outcomes is desirable and knowledge of curriculum and assessment would be advantageous.
