A highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Deputy Head Teacher is required for Ruskin Academy

This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head Teacher to join our Northamptonshire team and make a positive impact in raising standards and the quality of experience for our children.

Working with the Head of School and alongside the senior leadership team, you will be based at Ruskin Academy, Wellingborough and be responsible for the operational implementation of Trust agreed strategies and processes across the school.

We had a very successful Ofsted January, 2023 with gradings of Outstanding for our children’s Behaviour and Attitudes and their Personal Development, with an overall grading of Good with our pupils commenting:  ‘Everyone knows we should treat people how we want to be treated.’ The report noted that “Ruskin Academy is a school where pupils flourish’  Our children are well-behaved and always aspire to be the best versions of themselves.

Attendance in our school is excellent, again driven by our children’s attitudes to learning and the drive of our staff to ensure that children attend regularly. Our parents are supportive and care greatly for the outcomes of their children. Learning behaviours are good and our children show much respect to their peers.

We are seeking a Deputy Head Teacher who is:

Ruskin Academy is a three-form-entry, fully inclusive junior school situated in Wellingborough.

The school currently comprises: a Head of School (Mr Oswald), two Assistant Heads of School (Mr Speight & Mr Morris). We have an impressive capacity to continue improving and wish to engage new staff members to help compliment the team.

Following a recent Ofsted Inspection in January 2023, the school was awarded a very well deserved Good rating with two elements of outstanding.
