DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY SECONDARY TEACHER -MOWBRAY SCHOOL BEDALE
Mowbray School is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Design and Technology for our Bedale SITE.
Mowbray Special School is based over 2 sites. The main school is situated in Bedale and caters for children aged 3 to 16. The Satellite School is in Ripon and provides an education for children aged 3 to 11, this was opened to pupils in January 2020. We currently have over 294 pupils on role across both sites, 53 at Ripon, and are the largest special school in North Yorkshire.
We want to appoint someone who will make a significant contribution to our Design & Technology offering within our secondary department. We are looking for a knowledgeable, skilled and committed teacher with the enthusiasm to support students with special educational needs.
Ideally you would be competent and adaptable across the range of disciplines at KS3 & KS4 however this post is mainly as a Teacher of Design and Technology in the first instance.
The successful candidate should have considerable expertise in SEND, experience of working with children with difficulties in communication and interaction and be an excellent secondary practitioner. It is essential that you have a desire to work with SEND pupils.
