About Role

Dulwich College Suzhou (DCSZ) seeks an inspirational and innovative leader to lead Admissions, Marketing and Communications department. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in our fast-growing school in Suzhou, one of China’s most vibrant cities.

The Director of Admissions, Marketing and Communications (AMC) oversees all aspects of College Admissions, Marketing and Communications to attract, convert and retain a community of families who embrace the College vision, mission and values. The Director of AMC will develop and implement an integrated strategic marketing and communications plan to build the College’s reputation, manage issues and crises, and engage a breadth of stakeholders (partners, parents, students, staff).


To lead a team of AMC experts in DCSZ, while collaborating with the EIM AMC group, in galvanizing the DCSZ AMC team forward in order to drive recruitment, retention, brand development and community engagement.

Our School

Dulwich College Suzhou opened in 2007 and is recognised as the leading international school in the region. Our College is a Co-Educational Day School for students from Age 2 to 18. We have 800 students, spanning over 30 nationalities, with 420 students in Primary School (Nursery to Year 6) and 380 students in Senior School.

Dulwich College Suzhou is academically selective and follows an enhanced British and international curriculum, adapted for the needs of our international student body.

Our academic curriculum is complemented by rich co-curricular programmes. We prioritise holistic education and academic excellence, tradition & innovation, sustainability, and community. We are the first school in Asia to achieve ‘Language Friendly School’ certification and our school is also accredited by CIS, WASC, IB and NCCT.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Values-based leader with a proven track record in building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

• Out-going, friendly personality who can build and lead positive teams

• Ability to adapt and work independently, inter-College and as part of project-based teams, as required

• Proven leadership success in admissions, marketing and communication

• Demonstrable experience of leading marketing campaign and building brand awareness based on a strong set of values

• Experience in leading crisis communications

• Experience of managing internal and external stakeholder groups including local and international media

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• High level English, with strong writing, content creation and editing skills

• Mandarin language ability is helpful but not essential

• Strong communications skills with ability to connect effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders from college senior management team to partners and parents in both one-on-one and group settings

• Good understanding of digital marketing channels and strategies to effectively drive brand growth and engagement across online platforms

• Project management skills with strong attention to detail

• Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, or writing-intensive discipline

• Strong experience in admissions, marketing and communications with a minimum of 3 years in a management role

Dulwich College Suzhou opened in August 2007 on the eastern side of Suzhou in the high tech Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) area. We cater for over 900 students from Early Learning 1 to Year 13 (ages 2-18).
