Spratton Hall is a thriving and ambitious independent, co-educational day school for 400 pupils aged 4-13 years. Situated at the edge of the village of Spratton, seven miles north of Northampton, the School is set in 50 acres of beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. The Governors and Headmaster are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and commercially minded individual to become the new Director of Finance and Operations (DFO). The post holder will also fulfil the role of Clerk to the Governors. Reporting to the Headmaster, the DFO is a critical member of the Senior Management Team and will help shape and deliver Spratton’s strategic development. They will provide strong leadership to a diverse team of finance and operations staff and areas of responsibility include finance, estates and facilities, human resources, health and safety, IT, and commercial activities.
The successful candidate will be a visible and agile leader; a strategic thinker who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability to build highly effective, collaborative relationships at all levels. Whilst a formal accounting qualification is not required, exceptional financial and business acumen will be essential together with a proven track record in strategic planning, project management and operational delivery.
Prior experience in the education sector is not a prerequisite and applications are welcomed from candidates with commercial, charitable, private-sector and public-sector backgrounds.
