Yateley Manor is a leading co-educational prep school in the town of Yateley, North Hampshire, with approximately 360 children on roll from Nursery to Year 8.
We are seeking an innovative, ambitious and energetic sports teacher and enterprising leader to drive the next phase in the exciting future of sport and the school. You will engage children, colleagues and parents in a love of sport. You will be able to plan and deliver excellence in our stunning and well-equipped setting.
In recent years the Sports department has driven initiatives to ensure that our principle of “Sport for All” resonates across the school. We have strength in many sports and some exciting new plans to offer children an even wider range of sporting opportunities. Our new Director of Sport will have the drive and enthusiasm, the vision and leadership, to provide opportunities that build on all of our successes to date.
We are rooted in strong relationships, a love for learning and high quality teaching. The sense of family at Yateley Manor is palpable from the moment you step forth into the environment. Our recent ISI Inspection reported “Excellent” in all areas, testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff team.
The Sports department is fortunate to benefit from an on-site indoor swimming pool, sports hall with cricket nets and basketball courts, a gymnasium, and new changing facilities as well as extensive grounds.
ROLE SPECIFICATION
The Director of Sport will have overall responsibility for the quality of teaching and coaching across all year groups. They will lead the department to ensure the very best outcomes for every child in sport across the school, model best practice at all times and promote sport within the school and wider community.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The successful candidate will have significant teaching experience (with QTS) from a range of year groups from Foundation Stage up to the end of Year 11 with an outstanding record as a teacher. They will have excellent knowledge of subject curriculum requirements and the ability to inspire children and staff under the principle of “sport for all”.

The post is full time, to commence in January or April 2022. Currently the school opts into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).
