As Duty Manager you will work on a shift basis with other members of staff overseeing the use of the Leisure Centre facilities, dealing with enquiries from members of the public and running sports and recreation programmes for the local community. You will also be required to undertake lifeguard duties and to deliver first aid as necessary. In addition, you will support the Leisure Centre Manager in various aspects of the day to day running of the Leisure Centre.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in the leisure industry
- Knowledge of health and safety with experience of risk assessments, maintenance and safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
- A high awareness of industry developments, new activities, trends and research.
- Confident communicator at all levels.
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Candidates must have an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification or be able to attain one and preference will be given to those who hold a recognised First Aid qualification and CIMSPA Pool Plant Operator’s Certificate.
