Heron Hall Academy is looking for a dedicated EAL Coordinator to support students who speak English as an Additional Language. Join us to make a real impact in our diverse and vibrant school community!

As part of North Star Community Trust, Heron Hall Academy is an eight-form entry secondary school and sixth form in Enfield, led by our award-winning Headteacher, Mr. Barzey (The Times UK Headteacher of the Year 2022-23). Serving a rich, diverse community, we highly value experience in inner-city settings and knowledge of community languages.

Why work with us? Our vision is to provide exceptional education and life-changing opportunities for every student. We are dedicated to equipping pupils with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in education, work, and life.

Role Purpose As the EAL Coordinator, you’ll provide tailored support to students learning English as an additional language, often helping them adjust to their first school experience in England. This role includes developing personalized intervention classes and implementing school-wide protocols to support EAL students’ integration into both the curriculum and broader school life. Working closely with students, teachers, and support staff, you’ll play a key role in nurturing the academic, social, and emotional growth of our EAL students.

Join us to inspire, support, and create life-changing opportunities for young learners at Heron Hall Academy.

At NSCT Academies, we value our staff and offer a range of benefits, including:

  • Health Shield membership (employee assistance program for well-being and discounts)
  • Pension scheme
  • Subsidised lunches in our canteen
  • Cycle scheme after completing the probation period
  • Free onsite parking

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service.

In line with KCSIE updates, an online search will be conducted as part of our due diligence checks on shortlisted candidates.

Please submit your application as soon as possible. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications.
