About Newton British Academy

Newton British Academy is part of a group of 9 schools within Qatar serving an international community of learners from Foundation 1 (Nursery) to Year 6. We serve a diverse population with over 55 nationalities represented within our student population. Most of our children are EAL learners with the majority of children native level Arabic speakers from The Middle East.

The Role

We are seeking experienced and dedicated EYFS Class Teachers to join our vibrant and supportive school community. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire our pupils to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently model the desired attitudes and behaviours that we expect of our children and the wider community
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to planning and the sharing of resources and good practice
  • Ensure that all lessons have a clear objective and are relevant, purposeful and tailored to the individual needs of your pupils
  • Maintain accurate records to track your pupils' progress throughout the academic year
  • Liaise with colleagues, including the SEN and EAL teachers, to understand and best meet individual pupils' needs
  • Show a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care at all times

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Commitment to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
