St. Stephen’s International School, Khao Yai campus, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic teaching professional as an Early Years Classroom Teacher at our Khao Yai Campus starting January or earlier if possible.

As an Early Years Classroom Teacher the successful applicant will be responsible for the curricular and pastoral needs of their class. The Early Years follows the English statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage covering the three prime areas (communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development) and the four specific areas of literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design. Specialist teachers take classes for Thai, Mandarin, PE and music. As well as daily classroom duties teachers are expected to support the after school activities programme.

It is essential to:

• have experience of teaching the EYFS Curriculum

• be a native-level English speaker

• be appropriately qualified (e.g. B.Ed. or a first degree and a PGCE)

• provide three professional referees, one of whom must be your current, or most recent, Principal

It is desirable to have experience of:

• working in the international sector

St. Stephen’s is a boarding school located very close to the World Heritage Site of the Khao Yai National Park, about two hours drive from Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. The school has a very large and beautiful campus with stunning local scenery, and is well equipped with many facilities.

St Stephen’s International School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational all-through independent school  with boarding in Thailand, serving students from the age of 3-16. The all-through school is situated in Pak Chong – 150 km from Bangkok. It was the first international boarding school to open in Thailand. There are approximately 135 students on record. 

St Stephen’s International School offers a British-based curriculum in English and Thai, with students sitting IGCSE exams before graduating to the next stage of their education. The school is situated close to a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Khao Yai National Park. Facilities include a swimming pool, sports grounds tennis courts, a large gym, computer suites and a large library.
