St George’s School is looking for a dynamic and caring Early Years Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our Primary department as soon as possible.

The School

Serving the international community in Duisburg-Düsseldorf for over 20 years, St George’s School combines an enriching curriculum with family orientated care. The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school, and we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth Form.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching and Learning Assistant to work in our flourishing primary department.

Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the department is also an advantage.

Given the growing and developing nature of the school, flexibility and the desire to support other team members is a essential. A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school will also be an advantage.

The Early Years Assistant works closely with the Nursery and Pre-Nursery Class Teachers to provide stimulating learning opportunities for pupils. They assist with monitoring and guiding pupils academic, social and emotional development as well as their general welfare. The Early Years Assistant supports Class teachers in observing children to keep careful track of pupils’ progress and maintain regular dialogue with the Class Teacher.
