The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team on a Maternity Cover basis.

About the role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will contribute in promoting the education, welfare and personal care of pupils, in line with the aims, objectives and policies of our happy, caring and energetic School. Responsible to the Nursery & KS1 Lead, you will assist the class teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons, provide pastoral care and assist in ensuring that the classroom is an organised, lively, stimulating and safe learning environment. You will also undertake lunchtime and break-time duties and attend staff meetings and INSET days as required, all while maintaining good relations with pupils, parents and staff.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years and Childcare (or equivalent L3 qualification) as well as prior experience of working in a school, nursery or educational setting. You will also be confident in supervising children, have a positive approach to inclusive practice and be committed to providing high-quality childcare and early learning.
