The Role
As a teacher at Little Nest, you will play a vital role in delivering our unique curriculum, which draws inspiration from the EYFS framework and incorporates best practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and other global educational philosophies. Under the leadership of a dynamic Headteacher, you will help design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to different age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans, activities and observations.
- Foster a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment that promotes growth and development.
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators to create holistic learning experiences for students.
- Contribute to regular cultural and creative events, enriching students' educational journeys.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Nursery/Reception setting.
- PGCE/IPGCE qualification or a degree in Child Development/Early Years Education.
- Familiarity with Montessori, Reggio Emilia approaches, or a CACHE Level 3 qualification or above.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

An LKG-12 school founded in 2003, Dhirubhai Ambani International School prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma examinations. Current enrolment is 1058, with 204 students taking the IB Diploma. The school has 142 teachers, most of them with experience at top schools in India and international schools worldwide.
From day one, the focus has been on building a world-class school with an Indian mind, an Indian heart and an Indian soul - a school that offers a blend of nationally and internationally acclaimed educational opportunities, and provides an educational experience that engenders excellence and children’s all-round development, in an environment that fosters the joy of learning. The school’s motto, “Dare to Dream… Learn to Excel” encapsulates our aspirations and the enormity of effort required to bring about excellence in every facet of the school’s endeavours.
The IBDP Class of 2014 achieved an average IB Diploma score of 39.42; Six students gained the perfect score of 45 points,49 students achieved 40 points or above, constituting 53% of our candidates. In the IGCSE examinations held in 2014, 87.50% of all grades achieved were A* and A grades; against the UK Independent Schools’ average of 60.4% and UK National Schools average of 23%.
During the last ten years, our graduates have earned admission offers consistently to 20 of the world’s top 25 universities, like Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Imperial, King’s College, LSE, Warwick, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, U-Penn, UC-Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, Boston, NYU, Brown, Tufts, Northwestern, McGill, and University of Hong Kong, among others.
DAIS has established links with global institutions, including THIMUN, Round Square, CIS and NESA. The school is currently undergoing the self-study process for Joint Accreditation with CIS/ NEASC.
