Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We currently have over 2000 pupils on the school roll with around 700 students in our highly competitive sixth form. We strive for excellence in all that we do underpinned by our vision of education to understand the world and change it for the better.

We are seeking a highly skilled Education Assistant for Interventions to join our Support Centre for Autism and Language Impairment (SCALI). In this role, you will support SCALI students in overcoming learning barriers and contribute to their academic progress. You will be involved in planning, preparing, and delivering targeted learning sessions to small groups of students, ensuring that their individual needs are effectively met.


We are looking for someone who has:

  • experience of working with secondary age children
  • a professional, kind and calm manner
  • an understanding of the special educational needs of students, particularly those with Autism and Language Impairment.

Located in Kidbrooke, south-east London, Thomas Tallis School is a large co-educational secondary school providing places to pupils aged 11-18. The school was originally founded in 1971. In 2012 it moved into a brand-new purpose-built building on the site of a former airfield.

With capacity for around 2,000 students, Thomas Tallis is larger than the average secondary school. It operates a large sixth form, welcoming students who have come up through Thomas Tallis School, as well as pupils from other schools in the local area.
