Education Welfare Officer (EWO)

35 hours per week, term time only

Grade 8: Salary Range: £21,579 - £23,752 per annum, inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement

Spinal Point to be agreed according to experience

This is a permanent post.

The EWO will:

•devise and implement strategies to achieve and sustain high levels of school attendance

• mentor students to support improved attendance

• track and monitor the attendance of all students alongside the pastoral administrators

• assist the school in meeting the legal requirements regarding school attendance

• liaise with external agencies where appropriate

• support and maintain Hazelwick’s high expectations regarding attendance

Experience of working in similar roles or in a school- based role would be beneficial. Support and training will be provided as necessary.

The post-holder must be a car driver with access to their own car
