The Vacancy

Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint an Electrician for our foundation. This is a full-time position, working 52 weeks per year. 

The Electrician will be responsible for the daily delivery of planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks, as well as new installations, across all DCF sites. Other roles and responsibilities are to include:

  • Take responsibility for electrical infrastructures throughout the Foundation.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise any electrical works be it in house or contractor related
  • Create and implement the PPM and RM Schedules.
  • Schedule and initiate the PAT programme
  • Attend and respond to repairs and problems in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Assess jobs, obtain quotes for materials in a timely fashion.
  • Schedule the fixed wire testing program and liaise with contractors and staff for delivery of the schedule.

We are looking for an experienced Electrician, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. A thorough knowledge of electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, electrical equipment maintenance, coupled with computer literacy, strong planning, organisational and communication skills are essential.
