The Ambassador Teachers Program connects highly qualified international educators with U.S. schools, creating a meaningful exchange of cultures and ideas. Ambassador Teachers bring unique perspectives into the classroom, helping students achieve academically while building their confidence to connect with people from all backgrounds. For the teachers, the program offers the chance to broaden their cultural understanding, develop new skills, and grow as professionals and individuals. This cultural exchange promotes mutual understanding and strengthens connections between communities around the world.

In an exciting collaboration with Prince William County Public Schools, we are hiring creative and dedicated professionals who believe all children can be successful. Potomac Elementary is within Prince William County Public Schools and is Virginia's second-largest school division. Their mission is to launch thriving futures for students through collaboration, quality professional learning, the use of instructional technology and the advancement of literacy and wellness.

Potomac View Elementary aspires to support every child through respectful communication, intentional collaboration and critical thinking to help create students who are self-reflective, set high expectations and be risk takers.

Founded in 1607, Virginia is home to many historic landmarks, including Mount Vernon, the location of George Washington’s first home, and Colonial Williamsburg. Richmond is the state’s capital and one of the country’s oldest cities. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy visiting the Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the western part of the state. Additionally, Virginia offers city living among the suburbs of Washington, D.C., and miles of beachfront access to the Atlantic Ocean for those who love spending time at the coast. 

We are looking for passionate elementary school teachers ready for a transformative international teaching experience that will advance the growth and development of your professional and personal life. All applicants must hold a Primary teaching qualification and currently teach within a Primary school setting. 

All international candidates are required to apply for a teaching position in the USA directly with Participate Learning. Participate Learning has been an official BridgeUSA exchange visitor program with the U.S. Department of State for more than 30 years and has helped more than 10,000 international educators experience teaching full-time in the U.S. Participate Learning is designated to screen, provide visa sponsorship, and support participants throughout their stay in the United States in conjunction with their host school. Candidates must successfully complete Participate Learning’s application process to be considered for this position.
