Manor Drive Secondary Academy is a brand new, oversubscribed school in the north of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The school is very much the centre of the local community and is situated amongst a thriving new housing estate. We welcomed the first cohort of 120 Year 7 students in September 2022. We are looking to appoint an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) who is enthusiastic and motivated diverse and growing school. The role is to provide support for students with identified social, emotional and behavioural needs through the running of specific programmes and activities to assist the students individual needs and development.
You will have an opportunity to develop and deliver one to one emotional literacy support programmes and social skills in small groups for students who have difficulties understanding, identifying and managing their emotions so that they can develop these skills and subsequently become more emotionally resilient.
