Job overview

Working as a member of a schools cleaning team responsible for the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Each team member is responsible for an area and is expected to clean to the frequency and standard as directed.

Principal Objectives

Health, safety and hygiene:

To conform to the School’s Health and Safety policy at all times and to be responsible for health and safety at work both

on a personal basis and in regards to others.

Work performed and/or key result areas:

As a member of the Cleaning Team, you will undertake a range of duties in the following areas:

Clean allocated area to the standards and frequency required by the Cleaning Supervisor

Comply with documented procedures and health and safety instructions

Maintain stocks of cleaning materials, reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor when stocks need replenishing

Deep cleaning as directed by line management

Report to line management any defects discovered in the allocated area

Carry out any other task or duties deemed reasonable by line management

Founded in 1513 by Dame Agnes Mellers, with King Henry VIII sealing the foundation deed, the School boasts a rich heritage of educating boys for over 500 years before expanding to include girls, becoming a co-educational institution in 2015.Our vertical pastoral system is a notable strength, fostering strong relationships between tutors and students throughout their school journeys.
