Cranleigh School are seeking an Events and Hospitality Manager to be responsible for designing and implementing the Schools events.
Cranleigh School runs a busy and varied annual programme of events, from conferences and high-profile speakers to open days, drinks events, shows and performances. As Surrey’s foremost co-educational boarding school, these events are an integral part of the experience for students and parents alike and a chance for us to welcome in the wider community.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with all facets of event planning and delivery – and will relish being a prominent part of the Cranleigh community. Our Event Manager will personally run several major events and play a key role in numerous others, while supporting other departments to ensure all events are delivered successfully. We’re very much looking for ideas and enthusiasm for further developing our events programme.
The successful candidate will also need good communication skills and a love of working with people to make sure every event is a great experience, as well having attention to detail, the ability to keep calm under pressure and a flair for creative thinking and problem solving. They will need to be comfortable with project management software, Microsoft and Google products and have a willingness to learn new systems.
The role will report to the Directors of External Relations and Admissions and be involved in all aspects of event design and management as well as undertaking Front of House duties at events, ensuring that every attendee, delegate and audience member thoroughly enjoys their time at Cranleigh.
This is a full time role generally worked during term time, however there is flexibility in the number of weeks worked outside of term time.

About Cranleigh School
Cranleigh is a leading co-educational weekly boarding and day school set in a stunning rural location in more than 280 acres on the edge of the Surrey Hills. In 2015 the School celebrated its 150th anniversary; it has come a long way since its establishment as a school to support the local farming community in 1865.

Location
Cranleigh’s 280 acre site, situated eight miles from Guildford near the Surrey - West Sussex border, is part of Cranleigh Village and within forty-five minutes of London.
Heathrow and Gatwick airports are within easy access; there is a fast, regular train service from Guildford to Waterloo.
