Job overview

The role is to design and deliver awesome outdoor events and activities that take place away from the school space to ensure that our young learners have the opportunity to experience the best learning environments that the UAE has to offer.

The main responsibilities will be:

·      Embrace and encourage the ethos, values, culture, and standards of excellence of the (Un School).

·      Working with collaboratively with our academic team, design exciting outdoor learning quests ensuring that they are well planned and meet the requirements of the school vision in the way that they are delivered.

·      Complete detailed risk assessments for all events and activities to ensure that they are always 100% safe for all learners at all times.

·      Pay meticulous attention timing, suitability, and age appropriateness of events to ensure the well-being of all learners.  

·      Organise transport for each event and ensure that it is both suitable and safe.

·      Co-ordinate effectively with all involved in the event and ensure that there is sufficient supervision of all learners.

·      Liaise with parents to ensure that they are fully briefed on events taking place and that all needs of their children are accounted for.

·      Continually keep abreast of all developments in the UAE and that any potential learning opportunities for new quests and venues are explored.

·      Ensure that all events organised have specific learning objectives as well as being of interest and fun for the learners.

·       Work closely with the Principal and Operations Lead to plan and execute a series of on-site events such as National Day and Parents’ Nights.

·       Identify opportunities to partner with third parties to offer stimulating quest excursions and negotiate partner contract.

·       Become actively involved in the school ECA programme.

·      Support and uphold the agreed policies and practices of the (Un) School.

 

Requirements

We are looking to add to our team of brave pioneers by recruiting a highly enthusiastic Events Planning and Transport Coordination Specialist to help us to provide exceptionally innovative and exciting quests for our young learners.

 

This role will appeal to you if you love working in a fast paced, continually changing, dynamic environment and will relish working collaboratively with our talented academic team to provide incredible learning experiences outside of a traditional classroom environment.

 

You will be someone who can be creative in how you approach each project and will not be constrained by traditional education protocols. So long as our young learners are safe and are learning valuable skills that are aligned with our vision and values, you will have free reign to be as innovative as you wish in coming up with novel ideas for new learning experiences.

 

You will also have your feet firmly on the ground when it comes to ensuring the safety and well-being of our global stewards. You will be meticulous in checking every detail for each project and will leave no stone unturned in considering and mitigating any risk that might arise.

 

You have a passion for working with young children and will thrive in seeing them learn and grow through the events that create for them. You will be a magician when it comes to thinking of ways to engage our learners and there is nothing that gives you a greater buzz than delivering an event where the children are completely enthralled and involved in the activities.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience or skills:

 

·      Fluent in English.

 

·      Extensive experience in designing and delivering innovative events.

 

·      Previous experience of delivering events in a forward thinking and dynamic educational setting would be advantageous.
