Job overview

Training – 2 hour sessions

We are looking for exam invigilators / scribes to support our students during exam periods. Key responsibilities include providing invigilation for internal and external examinations, acting as a reader or scribe as required, and supervision of students using word processors. The role includes both invigilation for whole year groups of students and support for individual students requiring reader / scribe, as necessary.

This role has variable hours which will be confirmed and agreed with the Examinations Officer. Most exams are taken in November, December, May and June so availability during these times is essential.

We regularly seek to appoint exam invigilators, so we can arrange a start date to suit the successful candidates. There will be some training to attend beforehand.

About Ada Lovelace Church of England High School

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is the newest school in the Twyford CE Academies Trust having moved into its brand-new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020. The school has now reached full capacity, educating just over 1050 students across years 7 to 13. Ada Lovelace is named after the Victorian pioneer of computing and has a specialism in Digital Technologies which has led to the launch of T-levels at the school in Digital Production, Design and Development as well as Laboratory Science. A new T-level in Accounting will be offered from 2025. Being part of the top-performing Multi-Academies Trust in the UK has enabled Ada Lovelace to achieve outstanding GCSE results with a Progress 8 score of +1.33 in 2023 and +1.4 in 2024. Whilst the school has a strong Christian ethos, its admissions policy is open rather than faith-based and the school is heavily oversubscribed. It is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (January 2023) and is due to be inspected by SIAMS in the 2024/25 academic year. More information can be found on the school website: https://adalovelace.org.uk/
