We are looking for Exam Invigilator to assist with examinations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of exams in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
Fixed Term Contract: exam dates to be confirmed
Responsibilities:
Pre-Exam Preparation:
- Arrive punctually before the start of each exam session to set up the examination venue.
- Ensure all necessary materials, such as exam papers, answer sheets, and stationery, are available and distributed to candidates as required.
- Verify the identity of candidates and ensure they are seated according to the seating plan.
Conducting Examinations:
- Provide clear instructions to candidates regarding the exam rules, timing, and any other relevant information.
- Monitor the exam room to prevent cheating or any other irregularities.
- Remain vigilant throughout the exam to detect and address any instances of misconduct or rule violations.
- Address any questions or concerns raised by candidates regarding the exam procedures, within the boundaries of the established guidelines.
Ensuring Security:
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the content of the exam.
- Prevent unauthorized entry or access to the exam venue during the examination period.
- Collect and secure completed exam papers and other materials at the end of the exam.
Administrative Duties:
- Record attendance and any incidents that occur during the exam.
- Assist with the distribution and collection of exam materials.
- Report any irregularities or concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused for extended periods.
- Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations firmly but fairly.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
