Hours of Work:      37.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri) Term Time Plus 4 weeks (which include the last 2 weeks of the summer holidays and 5 Training/Inset Days across the year.

Salary:                      Band 3 Professional PayScale point 5-14, £30,628 - £37,551 + 2 years R&R of £2000 per year to be paid at the end of each year.

The Role

We are looking to recruit an Exams and Assessment Officer to play a pivotal role in the administration, management and conducting of examinations at The Lowry Academy with both External and Internal examinations.

The Examination and Assessment Officer will work closely with the Assistant Principal in supporting teaching colleagues and students.

• All the students arrive on time for their lessons. Students must arrive on time to be admitted to the lesson.
• All students are expected to have full equipment for every lesson.
• All students must think hard and work hard in lessons. Students are not allowed to opt out of their learning.
• The school has a straightforward approach to disruption to lessons. We follow a warning-remove policy where any student who disrupts learning, having been previously warned and given the opportunity to correct their behaviour, including opting out of work, is removed from the lesson.
• The Academy has zero tolerance for any act of defiance or disrespect towards staff or other students.

Requirements

Maths and English GCSE or equivalent A*- C
