Our vision:
S6C aims to be a vibrant, fun and inspirational centre of excellence with a passion for new technologies, creativity and innovation. Our core purpose is to create a world class learning community where all students can flourish both personally and academically.
We are looking for Exam Invigilators to join our team. You will work as part of a team of invigilators alongside the Exam Officer who will ensure exams are carried out according to the Exams Code of Conduct and the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations. Previous school and exams experience is preferred although not essential as training will be provided.
You will need to be at the College at 8:30 for a morning exam and 13:00 for an afternoon session. The Exam Invigilator roles are fantastic for candidates looking for part time and flexible work to fit in around other commitments. A timetable is produced for the exams which details the sessions you will be invigilating as agreed with you (taking into account your availability).
Employment Conditions
You will become an employee of S6C on a casual contract. You will need to complete a timesheet at the end of each week.
The rate of pay is £11.79 per hour (plus an increment for holiday pay) which is paid monthly in arrears on receipt of a valid timesheet through the payroll system.
S6C is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to references and an enhanced DBS check before your appointment is confirmed.
Hours required will vary from week to week according to the exam schedule and you do not need to be available every day, or for whole days. However, we are seeking to employ people who can fulfil a reasonable number of sessions to ensure some continuity for our students.
