Position: Executive Assistant & Governance Officer
Location: Huish Episcopi Academy
Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon to Fri, 8.30am - 4.30pm
Contract: 42 weeks per year (39 weeks term time + 3 additional weeks)
Salary: £25,415 - £27,669 (Actual) / £27,351 - £29,777 (FTE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Confidential Support: Provide efficient administrative support to the Principal, handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Meeting Coordination: Organise meetings for the Senior Leadership Team, including agendas, minutes, and hospitality arrangements.
- Diary Management: Manage the Principal’s and SLT’s diaries and emails.
- Document Preparation: Draft and distribute various documents, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Communication & Hospitality: Manage phone calls, welcome visitors, and arrange travel and accommodation for the Principal.
- Governance Support: Assist the Chair of Governors and Principal with administrative duties for the Local Governing Body.

Huish Episcopi Academy is a large, non-selective, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 based in the heat of the Somerset Levels with a large catchment area. We are proud to be part of United Learning. At Huish, we offer the full national curriculum to all students with opportunities for our pupils to engage in a broad range of additional activities in sports, music, and the creative arts. It is our aim to develop rounded individuals who are not only academically successful, but who also have opportunities to develop their character education, such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. Our sixth form provides pupils with aspirational courses that allows them to pursue university places or employment after school.
