Required to start September 2022 or January 2023.

Northam Schools Federation is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader as its next Executive Headteacher. You will be an existing Headteacher with a proven track record of sustained success in school improvement and be looking for that next step-up in your career. You will embrace the opportunity to further develop the Federation on its transitional journey, drive improvements and have the ability to innovatively guide and support the established leadership team.

The Federation of two schools offers exciting challenges for the right candidate. Set in a spectacular location, the schools are in prime position for taking advantage of local amenities to broaden the curriculum. The rapid expansion of Northam and surrounding villages will secure and expand future school numbers, and recent school building refurbishments will help make this a school of choice for local families.

The school has a reputation of happy pupils who are polite and keen to participate in extra curricula activities. This was a notable feature of the previous OFSTED report and is noted at the local secondary schools.

The whole school community is excited to support you in this post. The Governing Board works rigorously and effectively as part of the leadership team, and all the staff members are experienced and dedicated.

If you think you are the right person for this role, then we welcome your application.

You are warmly welcomed to visit and take a tour of the schools or, alternatively, have an informal chat with the Chair of Governors, Katy Longley. Please contact Adele Fulford on 01237 473569 to make an appointment for either of these. We will try hard to accommodate your busy schedule.

We are an equal opportunities employer. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and the needs of our schools.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
