Kewstoke School is a small, thriving primary school maintained by North Somerset Local Authority. The school was graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted in June 2018. The Governors are seeking to appoint inspirational and creative class teachers. We currently have up to two teaching posts available, with the additional responsibility of SENDCo for the right applicant. We have both full time and part time vacancies and can offer flexible working conditions. We would love to hear from dedicated teachers who are keen to work with us to make our school the best it can be.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An outstanding practitioner, able to plan high quality lessons for children in mixed age groups.
  • Able to work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with children, parents/carers, governors, other staff, and external agencies in the best interests of pupils.
  • Resilient and prepared to go the extra mile, sometimes wearing a number of “different hats” in a small school.
  • Able to operate within the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities, outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012).
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

In return, we can offer:

  • an exciting challenge.
  • a supportive governing body and local authority.
  • the opportunity to be part of the next phase of the school.
