Role Overview

As an Early Years Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, play-based learning experiences that meet the developmental needs of all children. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that align with the school’s curriculum framework and promote child-initiated learning also covering our exciting themes.
  • Use a range of strategies to engage children actively and develop key skills such as communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Monitor, assess, and document children’s progress to inform planning and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports students with diverse needs, including those with SEND and EAL.
  • Maintain a safe and positive classroom atmosphere that promotes well-being and emotional security.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support each child’s learning journey.
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all children in your care.
  • Engage in regular reflective practice to continuously improve teaching strategies and meet the evolving needs of the children.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BEd (Hons) with QTS or equivalent OR University Degree with PGCE with experience of teaching within the British Curriculum,
  • Native level English Speaker.
  • Experience teaching in an early years setting, preferably within an international or multicultural environment.
  • Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning approaches.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and student well-being.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with UK and Ireland safeguarding practices and policies.
