Job overview

Outwood Primary Academy Bell Lane is seeking an EYFS Teacher to join our friendly, enthusiastic and supportive team. The role will be 5 days per week in a temporary role until 31st August 2025.

OGAT's core belief is that children come first, and that every child, irrespective of their background, has the right to an outstanding education. We believe the foundations of strong teaching are based on effective relationships, high expectations and a sense of belonging. We place children at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success, achieving high academic outcomes and a positive climate for learning. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm, passion and determination to meet the needs of all children and have a willingness to learn and develop.

In return, the chosen candidate will have the chance to join a supportive and collaborative team. They will be provided with high quality curriculum resources and connections to planning networks for various age groups. Their growth and development will be a focus, and they will have access to excellent opportunities for continuous professional development.

At Outwood Primary Academy Bell Lane, we are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place children at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.

Through quality first wave one teaching and additional, carefully planned, support and intervention, we strive to meet the individual needs of all of our learners; aiming for the best possible outcomes for our pupils regardless of their background, needs or starting points.

We invest a lot of time in to staff development and support by encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and strongly believe in investing in staff to enable them to also reach their full potential.

As a Classroom Teacher you are appointed to the South Community of Academies, therefore, you may be required to work at any of our academies within your community or any of the Primary Academies we are supporting as directed by the Executive Principal.

Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT starting your career, we would love to hear from you! Visits to any of our schools are warmly welcomed.

If you have any questions regarding this role or wish to arrange a visit, please contact Nicola Mullooly at n.mullooly@outwood.com

Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

Principal: Mrs Rebecca Pattison

We are a primary academy, based in the picturesque village of Ackworth, in the metropolitan borough Wakefield in West Yorkshire.

We see ourselves as more than just a place of learning, but as a true community where everybody works together towards success. As such, we encourage parents to participate in every stage of the learning journey and all aspects of school management.

Always evolving, we are constantly striving for ways to improve and enliven our teaching and give our pupils the edge.

We want you to help to take us to the next level.

To help you do that, we work hard to ensure we reduce workload on our colleagues, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of children first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

We will also actively invest in your future through working closely with the Outwood Institute of Education to offer access to a wide range of CPD opportunities, with all staff receiving a minimum of two hours’ CPD each week.

We also offer a generous employment package with a whole host of staff benefits, including a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, plus a partnership with car leasing company, Synergy, with offers exclusively for Outwood colleagues.
