Job overview

Doubletrees School is currently in the process of expanding our premises. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and to support and develop the school in line with its shared values and improvement priorities. We provide a creative and ambitious centre of learning for 105 pupils with a range of complex learning, medical and communication needs aged from 2-19 years. The school is a member of the Special Partnership Trust, an ambitious and inspiring collaboration of specialist provision in Cornwall, with a focus on excellence in learning for everyone.

 

We are looking for a dynamic and empathic individual who will lead on the school’s parent/carer engagement improvement strategy. The successful candidate will ensure the school is welcoming families to engage with the school and fostering the development of mutual trust and respect.

 

You will be IT competent and will have high standards of verbal and written communication. A passion and desire to provide parent/carers with a supportive learning and education community in which to thrive and grow is essential. You will be skilled in identifying and implementing strategies to support diverse and inclusive ways to bridge complex barriers.

 

This is a real opportunity for a talented person, to support us to take parental engagement at our school to the next level. Working in partnership with our parents is crucial to the wellbeing and future success of our young people. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and skilled staff team, wonderful learners and their families and a broad range of external partners, all within the unique setting of a special multi-academy trust.
