Gateway is a thriving independent coeducational prep school set in the heart of the Chilterns with 340 children. An opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated teacher of sport and PE with good communication skills has arisen, with a September 2019 start date.
With sport an integral part of the curriculum, this role requires a well-qualified teacher who can motivate pupils and inspire them to achieve their potential. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and hold a relevant degree plus/including QTS.
Key responsibilities
to teach PE and Games lessons within the curriculum
to develop Schemes of Work for PE and Games sessions
to work with the Head of Department to develop an engaging and positive curriculum to further the learning of pupils at Gateway
to organise and run extra-curricular clubs and inter-school fixtures
to act as a role model for girls in PE and Sport
