Northern Leaders Trust was established in 2014 and comprises two academies supported by our Central Services Team. Kenton School, our largest academy, has around 1,800 students, including a successful sixth form provision. With around 400 students expected to rise to around 500 over the next five years, Studio West School focuses on delivering a studio school-type approach.  

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our busy team with experience working in a financial role combined with excellent numeracy and literacy skills (evidenced by a minimum of GCSE A*C (4–9) in Mathematics and English or equivalent. Candidates will have a good working knowledge of accounting systems.

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finance team and Trust in effective finance operations, including but not limited to the timely processing of purchase orders and supplier invoices, as well as assisting the Finance Officer in preparing the supplier payment run. 

Candidates must possess strong IT skills, including Excel skills, the ability to work with lookups and pivot tables, and Microsoft Outlook. You must have meticulous attention to detail, good analytical and interpretive ability and be able to balance the conflicting demands of a busy role.

Hours: Part-time/open to term time only + 10 days to be worked in the last two weeks of August/flexibility of working pattern. Minimum 22 ½ hours per week, negotiable.

Salary: Grade N4 £19,650 – £20,852 pa (pro rata), term time
